The Sharing of Experiences to Jointly Improve - Successful Convening of the Teaching Seminar of the School of Mathematical Sciences in 2011-2012 School Year

After carefully arranged and prepared, the teaching seminar of the School of Mathematical Sciences in 2011-2012 school year was successfully convened at June 30-July 1. At first, Professor Suixiang Gao (Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Admissions Director) induced the opening address and pointed out the necessity to hold a teaching seminar. Then Professor Tiande Guo (Executive Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences) made the report titled by "The teaching Summary of the School of Mathematical Sciences in 2011-2012 school year" and pointed out the strengths and weaknesses in teaching. In addition, the report also discussed the curriculum in fall semester of 2012-2013 academic year. Next, eight middle-aged and young teachers including Professors Dunyan Yan, Liang Xiao and Sanguo Zhang, Associate professors Tong Zhao and Wenguo Yang, Lecturers Fusheng Deng, Gang Wu and Gang Meng performed teaching seminar and exchange by combining with the courses taught. Finally, Professor Jiagui Peng (One of members of the Teaching Committee of the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences) made the summary on this teaching seminar and gave a high appraisal on the speeches of the eight teachers. This seminar will be of great significance in further for improving the quality of teaching of the School of Mathematical Sciences.

 

The teaching seminar was presided over by Professor Yufu Chen (Party branch secretary of the School of Mathematical Sciences). All teachers of the School of Mathematical Sciences attended the meeting. This seminar provided a platform of teaching seminar and reached the purpose of sharing of problem and experience. The participating teachers have benefited well from it, and this seminar is of great significance to consolidate and improve the overall quality of teaching of the School of Mathematical Sciences.
