The Academic Forum of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Science of CAS held successfully in MiYun, Beijing on December 9-10, 2012.
More than 120 teachers, post doctorates, doctors and masters attended this forum. They are from School of Mathematical Sciences, CAS; Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS; National Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences, CAS; Institute of Microbiology, CAS etc almost 10 institutes of CAS and Peking University, Beijing Normal University and so on.
Professor Tiande Guo, the executive dean of School of Mathematical Sciences of UCAS took charge of the opening ceremony of this forum. Professor Shouyang Wang, the secretary of the party committee of AMSS; Professor Suixiang Gao, the assistant to the president of UCAS, the admission office director of UCAS and the secretary of party general branch of School of Mathematical Sciences; Professor Jifeng Zhang, the director of Institute of Systems Science, AMSS; Professor Guiying Yan, the vice director of National Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences, CAS and Professor Shunlong Luo, the vice director of Institute of Applied Mathematics, AMSS attended the opening ceremony and made speeches successively.
This forum is a blend of plenary lectures, subjective reports and group reports and sets up a prize for the best group reports. Nine doctors won the prize.
